FlashPoint BBS, remodeled!
Hey everyone,
this is to let you know that FlashPoint BBS is now
being
remodeled. Thanks partly to Logitec for crashing my system! Its amazing how a
$50
rat can kill a $15000 system!
But the remodeling is for the better!
You will now be able to preview the
images, before
you download! We are working with new software, that is
multi-tasking,
to save you time and phone charges! When we go back on-line we
will be up and running at 28.8 bps! But on the bad side, the
first time you
log on you will have to download a
special terminal program for our new and
improved
software! By the way, we are using Excalibur software, so if any of
you happen to have their terminal program it will work.
We
will also have new images from NCAA's, including UCLA, UTAH, ALABAMA,
Jenny Henson and others.
To those of you who have
tried to call the last couple of days, we apoligize
for not being up and running. I am still working on
recovering from the crash
of 95 and installing and
customizing our new software, I hope to have us back
on-line
within a week. I will let all of you know when I do get us on-line.
Thanks,
Lori,
aka- JC Laramie, sysop of FlashPoint BBS

Kim Zmeskal
I saw this info on the America
Online message board a couple of weeks ago. I
wrote the
author, who at least used to be on GYMN, to post the info here, but
I
haven't gotten a reponse, so I'll just go ahead. I know some of you will
be interested.
Apparently, Svetlana Boginskia
hurt her back. Anyone know anything
about
this?
Like others on this list, I've been
dying to know what skills Kim is doing,
and
according to the message, she does 3 layout stepouts
on beam and a
full-in back out dismount on
bars. So much for all of the
criticism about
her "lack" of
difficulty!!

Hi Everyone!!! My name is Jessica, and I am a 13

Already I have been state
champion twice in
all-around, and this year qualified to nationals. I am very
excited about Gymn and am looking
forward to LOTS of e mail. I am currently
using
America Online, and my screen name is ***@aol.com
See everyone

various questions
Now that Kim Zmeskal is
doing 3 Layouts on beam and a Full-in on bars,
what
are the starting scores for those routines? Also, is a full turn
still a requirement for floor ex? Kotchectkova
and Podkopaeva don't do one.
Thanks.

Sorry if this is a dumb question: Are the Junior
gymnasts on the National
team Elites or Level
10?
Thanks,

Juniors competing at the national level are
elites. They just fall under a
certain age bracket
(14 or 15 I think).
Speaking of the elites, anyone got a list of those
who have qualified for
Nationals, both juniro and senior?

Hi all,
A Usenet
"filter" service brought up this article which
caught my eye.
Perhaps someone on Gymn-L might be
able to help him out with more info.
(As much as I'd like to browse my book
collection to find info for him,
time does not
permit...)

Okie, I've asked a hundred times, and I'll ask
again. Does
ANYONE have a TOTAlly comeplete list of this year's NCAA recruits for the
women? I've got a partial list, but I KNOW there are some
people here with
a complete list. Among those that
I do NOT know are Sarah balogach and
Ashley Kever. I'm intreersted in all
names, so lay it on :)
