Adriana is right (as usual), the Rudi does not NEED to be done in the
layout position, but it sure looks ugly when it is done as a tuck.  Also,
the tucked Rudi is usually cranked around, low and short of rotation (as
opposed to twist). Tina Brinkman of ASU does a pretty good one, but it still
looks clumsy to me.  Then again, I am not a big fan of front tumbling.
(Exception: Arabian double front.)

GER / FRA / BLR 1995  (Mens)    Bremen, Germany
============================

Results:
--------

1. Germany      553.20

(Valeri Belenki, Uwe Billerbeck, Ralf Buchner,
Mario Franke, Karsten Oelsch, Oliver Walther,
    Andreas Wecker)

2. France       542.90

(Thierry Aymes, Patrice Casimir, Sebestian Darrigade,
Frederic Lemoine, Jacky Loquin, Frederic Nicolas,
    Sebestian Tayac)

3. Belarus      534.90

(Alexander Belanovski, Arkadi Lapkim, Ivan Pavlovski,
Vitali Rudnizki, Vitali Scherbo, Alexander Schostak,
    Alexei Sinkjevitsch)

- Not a very high quality meet with mistakes plenty. Most
noticable may be the one of Vitali Scherbo on the parallel
bars where he jabbed his shoulder when attempting a double
back. He jumped off and didn't continue his routine,
scoring just 6.250. IT didn't look like a serious injury
  though.

In the Olympic Countdown section in SI 4 kids, they had an article on Jennie.
It talked about why she went back to Belas(she missed her family) and why she
came back(missed Oklahoma friends and coach and her 2 year elbow injury began
to hurt).  She had surgury when she came back to Dynamo, lives at a host
family, and trains from 2:30-7:30 pm a day.
Also- there was a part about 19 sports recognized by the Olympic
comittee and you could vote for them.  Amog them were Acrobatics and
trampolining.
    Thats all 4 now,

Subject: Training costs....

Just curious....when a gymnast becomes tops does he or she still pay
training fees or are the waived for the publicity that they bring
to the gym....for example does anyone know if Shannon Miller has
to pay Steve for training cost...or has her publicity and the fact
that she has probable attraced new puplis to the gym mean anything...

for that matter do you know if any of Zmeskals, Boginskia, or Moceanu's
fees get waived when Bela uses their names to attract pupils to his
camp....????

thanks,
