Re: sour grapes
I second Eric's post.
I'm sure there are MANY people on this forum who
have accomplished great
things. Just because we are not Olympic, World or
National gymnastics
champions does not mean we can't have an opinion about the
sport. By Gina's
reasoning, the only people who would be "qualified" to judge
gymnastics
would be former champions or coaches of champions. (And the only
people who
should be allowed to vote in elections would be politicians who have
held
public office. This is ridiculous.)
But most importantly,
everyone has the right to have his or her own
opinion and to express it
freely. That's what this forum is for, isn't it?
Calling someone else's
opinion "trash" because you don't agree with it or with
the way
it was expressed seems to be a case of "the pot calling the kettle
black."
Usually it's fairly
easy to tell from the subject line of a message what
it's going to be
about. If it's a thread or a topic that bores you, annoys you,
or you
consider "trash," just don't read it - hit your delete key. Simple
as
that! But respect the rights of the other people who DO want to discuss
these
topics. And their right to have opinions you might not agree with. If
all of us
had exactly the same opinions, tastes, favorite gymnasts, etc.,
this would be a
very boring forum indeed.

Moceanu did a beautiful, easily done double layout on floor
at the '95
American Classic. I think she only did it in the warm-up, but I
don't know
why because she did it so effortlessly. But then again, Doni Thompson also
did the best stuck full-twisting
double layout I've seen off bars in
warm-up, and then just did a double
layout in competition. I'm sure they had
their reasons.

Re: Israelis in Europeans
If israel were on
the border, than Lebanon would be a European country.
israel
does not lie on any border , but apparently they don't want to
associate
themselves with the rest of the Asian countries. Personally, I
don't think they
should be given a choice...
