Re: GYMN-L Digest - 19 Nov 1995 to 20 Nov 1995 - Special issue
I just
finished reading the article in the Palo Alto Weekly on the web. My
family has
an
apartment in Palo Alto and I just wanted to
stress that Amy Chow's high school
is an
excellent
one. I mean it just makes her 4.08 GPA that
more impressive. I just
graduated
from
another
California private school of about the same academic level and I
worked
extremely
hard for four
years and I only had to deal with
classes. I just wanted to make her
academic
accomplishments
stand out that much more. -Meg

IG
Hey, GYMN,
A few of you have posted questions about IG
subscriptions and such lately.
The address for subscriptions and back
issues through December is:
IG
PO Box 2450
Oceanside, CA
92051
(619) 722-0030
After that (move date is not firm, but
January is likely), it will be:
IG
PO Box 721020
Norman, OK
73070
(no phone # yet)
If you call, have
your current label handy (if possible) - it can help us
to
have your ID number and so forth.
Also, be sure to let us know if you
have moved recently - often people
forget to
notify magazines of their forwarding address, and the P.O. only
forwards second-class mail (i.e., magazines) for 60 days.
Then, they send
it back to us with a charge. This
is true for all magazines, by the way.
Issues mail around the 20th of
each month (November was late, going out
around
the 25th/26th of October) from our printer in Michigan. They can
take up to two weeks to reach the coasts.
Finally, Ameera asked about the pricing on back issues. Most are
$4.50
each, while a few special issues (Worlds and
Olympics) are $6.00. If you
buy 10 or more issues
total (any combination of regular and special-priced
issues),
the regular-priced issues drop to $3.50 apiece, but any special
issues included in the 10 are still $6.00 each.
I'd
be happy to answer any other questions.
I'll go now before I confuse
things any more.
Nancy

Sergei Grinkov, 1967-1995
I could not
believe it either after watching the news.
Apparently he went
into cardiac arrest
while lifting his wife, Katya Gordeeva, on a rink in
Lake
Placid NY. They were just
about to embark on an exhibition tour.
He
collapsed and was pronounced dead at
about 12:30 AM. An autopsy will be
done
tomorrow, despite Katya's protests. I can't believe it. G&G were absolutely
one of the best pairs ever in figure skating.

Isn't Anne and

I can't remember for which teams.

Re: Where happened to them?
I can't really tell you about the others,
but I personally know Annie
woynerowski,
she actually used to go to north stars when i went
there. After
1992 she left for
a little while to go to Madison YMCA.
A few months later
she returned a bit out
of shape. She worked out with level
9 for ahwile, and
thern deid some
coaching. As far as i know she is at college now
